How pricing works

You get a written price before you book. Here's what goes into it.

A written price before you book

Every quote is written and lists the crew size, the services you picked and the details the price is based on: the addresses, floors, stairs or elevators, and the size of the move.

That list is why the details on the quote form matter. The more we know about stairs, parking and the big pieces, the closer the quote is to move day.

If move day doesn't match the quote, for example a room of furniture that wasn't on it, we tell you before doing the extra work.

Included on every move

  • Moving pads on furniture
  • Floor protection at both homes
  • Taking apart and reassembling furniture
  • Loading, transport and unloading
  • Placing furniture in the rooms you choose
  • A text the evening before with your crew and arrival window

What changes the price

How much is moving
The number of rooms, the big pieces and the box count set the crew size and how long the job takes.
Stairs, elevators and the walk to the door
A third-floor walk-up or a long carry from the parking lot adds time. A reserved elevator and a close loading spot save it.
Distance between the addresses
A move across town and a move from the South Bay to North County are different days for a crew and a truck.
Packing
Packing everything, packing only the fragile pieces, or packing it yourself.
Heavy or delicate items
Safes, pianos, glass and marble tops and large TVs need extra people, extra time or extra materials.

Common questions

Do I get a price before I book?

Yes. You get a written price before you book and before we lift anything. It lists the crew, the services you picked, and the details the price is based on.

What do you need to know to give me a price?

Where you're moving from and to, the date, roughly how much is moving, and anything that slows a crew down: stairs, elevators, a long walk from the truck, or heavy pieces. The quote form walks you through it in a few minutes.

Will you move just one or two items?

Yes. A single couch, a few pieces from a store, or a storage unit. Pick "A few items" on the quote form and tell us what they are.

Can you load or unload a truck or container I rented?

Yes. We load rental trucks and moving containers, and unload them at the other end. You handle the driving.

Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?

Yes. Beds, tables, desks and other pieces that need to come apart for the move are reassembled where you want them in the new place.

Can I send photos instead of listing everything?

Yes. After you send the quote form, text photos or a short video to our number. It helps most with big or unusual pieces.
